A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

80 days to go: That's true love!
Back in 2002, running up to the release of Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Toys R Us in the UK had a midnight opening for the release of the new merchandise. As part of the event, the first one hundred customers that made a purchase would receive a very rare Silver Darth Vader figure. I wanted it so badly, but I had a very early presentation at work the following morning. Bradley, my hero, left me at home asleep, lined up for two hours in the cold, and got me one. Now that's true love!
