A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

93 days to go: How Star Wars kept my feet warm
My first-ever job was working in a shoe store called Freeman Hardy & Wills in my hometown of Great Yarmouth. I was very excited when we stocked a range of Star Wars house slippers made by Pirelli. As part of the window display, the Stores were supplied a small marketing sign. I was given the one from our store when the range was discontinued.
