The first Star Wars item I owned was my Princess Leia pencil case, which I used every day at school. I remember my older brother Ivan having
a matching yellow pencil case with Darth Vader on it, but he lost it one day when throwing it up into the air while we walked to school. It landed in a tree and I used to hope that one day it would fall out and I'd find it. I don’t recall at the time why I
chose the Princess Leia one, but she is still a favorite
character of mine to this day.
