A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

57 days to go: Everything Lego Star Wars is awesome!
As a child, my love of Star Wars gradually overtook my love of Lego. The Lego town I had constructed across my bedroom floor was replaced with a diorama of the ice planet Hoth made out of polystyrene (Styrofoam). When Lego finally launched a Star Wars range in 1999, the fact that I was now a ‘grown up’ didn’t stop me collecting it. I can only imagine what the younger me would have thought of the Lego Ewok Village (my favorite set) as a kid!
