A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

77 days to go: It starts all over again...
In the mid 90s, after a ten-year absence of Star Wars collectibles and toys at retail, Kenner toys started releasing new action figures. I remember seeing them in stores, and although I initially didn’t really like them, it reignited those fond memories of going into a toy store and seeing Star Wars figures on the pegs. I eventually caved and bought a few. Then I bought them all!
