I am very fortunate to have friends who totally accept and support my Star Wars fandom. Elizabeth, a good friend back in the UK, took it upon herself to surprise me with a personalized autograph of George Lucas as a wedding gift. She secretly wrote to Lucasfilm with the request. Although not successful, George Lucas' secretary graciously wrote back to her and she gave me the response letter as a gift (it is on official Lucasfilm stationery!). It has pride of place in my collection and her efforts really meant so much to me. Incidentally, a George Lucas autograph still eludes me...
