I have never been ashamed of telling the world that I am a big fan of Star Wars. What better way to do this than to wear a Star Wars t-shirt? In the early days there was a very small selection to choose from, but over time the range available has grown exponentially. Now my Star Wars t-shirt collection even outnumbers my Disney t-shirts! My oldest surviving one is a black and gold Darth Vader t-shirt I purchased on a visit to Texas in 1993. My current favorites include ones with the green Lucasfilm logo, which is an exclusive from their Cast Member shop, a Return Of The Jedi logo, an original Force Awakens logo and one with a graphic showing Star Wars characters lining up to use a British ‘phone box’.
A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

18 days to go: T-Shirt Wars
