A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

37 days to go: There's a reason that action figures are small...
A few years back a company called Gentle Giant, which specializes in making collectibles, released a 12" scale replica of an original vintage 3¾" Star Wars action figure. They replicated every tiny detail. It brought back great memories of collecting those figures as a kid, so for old times sake I thought it would make a nice addition to my collection. The trouble is, they continued to release them. There are now over 40 of them and they take up an awful lot of space!
