A Long Time Ago ... I became a Star Wars fan. My love for Star Wars was born when my father took me and my brother to see the original movie at the Regent Theatre in my home town, Great Yarmouth, in January 1978. I was 7 years-old. Needless to say, it made quite an impact on me. To celebrate The Force Awakens, I have created a 100-day countdown to its release. Using images from my collection, I will share my favorite memories of 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

24 days to go: Put a Pin in it!
Pin collecting and trading is synonymous with Disney Theme Parks and has been a part of the merchandise experience in the Parks since 2000. I don’t "officially" collect Disney pins, but I do collect Disney's range of Star Wars pins. Some of the best ones come from Walt Disney World, where a wave of Star Wars pins is released each year to tie-in with their 'Star Wars Weekends', and a fine job they do of it. They come in all shapes and sizes, but generally they are a good thing to collect, as they don’t take up too much space! There have been far too many great ones for me to name a favorite.
